Can a dependent spouse be forced to work in Florida?

Well, a dependent spouse cannot be physically forced to work. However, that dependent spouse has education, has previous being worked. The court will look at that to make a determination as to how much that spouse could be making. And the court will also look at that given that spouse an opportunity to bridge the gap or to get their skills up to return to the workforce. This makes a difference as to the amount of alimony they can get and as to the length of time.
