How will my professional practice be valued in a high net worth divorce?

Your professional practice in a high net worth divorce will again be looked upon as to what part of that practice is determined or characterized as being marital property. Of course, the professional license acquired by the party is not marital property, but the business portions of it itself. So, first of all we will determine whether or not the professional practice was acquired after marriage, before marriage, and during the course of marriage, did that property ... if it was purchased prior to marriage ... did it become it become marital property by the fact that the owner then transferred the title to the other spouse, it is now co-owned. Or if not that, we look at the increase in the value during the course of marriage. We have professional evaluators that will look at the assets of the professional practice, as well as the good will that his garnered to make a determination as to the value of that asset.
