At what age can my children decide where they want to live?

I don't know if the children can decide where they want to live but the court looks at what's in the best interest of a child. In that particular instance, when a child is in high school, they have numerous activities. The court will listen to what is the preference of a child usually through guardian ad litem or an attorney ad litem that would then advocate the position of the child. We could also motion a court and ask the court to hear the child, in camera, to hear their positioning on that. It is not the preference that the court would bring a child into court for the purpose of testifying but that child's preference is important particularly during those years in high school.
