Are Florida courts more likely to award custody/time-sharing to mothers than to fathers?

No. Our laws are such, in the state of Florida, that each person, mother and father, they're looked upon equally. There's no presumption that the mother is a better parent, or the father is not the better parent. We have certain standards, outlined in chapter 61, in which the courts evaluates, if necessary, what is in the best interest of the child.
